Important Statement from Sarah Gibson MP
I hope this message finds you well and that you had a restful and joyous Christmas and New Year. I want to take a moment to share some personal news and update you on how my office will be operating in the coming weeks.
Over the Christmas break, I experienced a serious health issue where I was taken to and, spent five days in Intensive Care, then remained in the RUH for a further five days.
I cannot thank the staff in the Intensive Care Unit and the wider RUH team enough for the flawless and attentive care I received.
Whilst the condition is manageable and I continue to receive excellent care, I have been advised by doctors to focus on my recovery. For the short term, this will mean reducing my workload and the amount of time I can spend outside of my home.
During this time, I will not be able to participate in public engagements, parliamentary debates, or events at my usual pace.
However, I want to reassure you that my office remains operational and committed to serving our community. My dedicated team will be handling correspondence, casework, and urgent issues on my behalf.
I deeply appreciate your understanding and support as I prioritise my health to ensure I can continue to represent you effectively in the long term. I look forward to resuming my full duties as soon as possible and will keep you updated on my progress.
Thank you for your patience and kindness during this time. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office by emailing sarah.gibson.mp@parliament.uk
